Over the North Pole

Our flight back from New Delhi to Chicago went straight north up over the North Pole. I am exited to go that far north as I have not been on a polar flight before. I am also exited that I have slept for 2 hours during the first 8 hours of this flight. Only 6.5 hours left, I hope the pilot got plenty of gas.

A shopkeeper at our hotel in New Delhi told me that AA was going to stop flying the direct route from Chicago to New Delhi in March 2012. Not sure if that is true but maybe he heard it from an AA flight crew staying at the hotel. It seemed like aircrews from 5 or 6 different airlines were staying at hotel.

We will land in Chicago at 5 AM and be back in Dallas at 9 AM. I will post the blog now and it will get sent to web site when we get to airport.
