Lots of Kebabs

If you like kebabs of different kinds, Turky is the place to be. I am sure that Greece has very good kebabs also

Here is a yogurt kebab dish I had at lunch. Lots of meat, tomatoes and peppers with yogurt on top.

Elf on Board

On the flight to Helsinki I sat across the aisle from someone with some nice high heel shoes that my daughter would love. They were black, 4 inch tall heels, pointed toes like elfs wear. The shoes looked nice, the guy wearing them not so nice. I think he is going to the Prom tonight. Yes, a guy was wearing them and what's even worse is that he was some kind of engineer. He had a box with a lot of lights and wires. Size of a shoe box and it looked like it was filled up with a lot of bells that blinked on and off. I was hoping that security back in New York looked really hard at this guy on high heels carrying around a box that looked like a bomb. This guy was as distracting as when I was a few rows away from Iggy Pop on a flight. See my blog from August 20, 2013. I tried not to stare too much but finally had to take about 10 pics of his pretty shoes.

Special Salmone Pizza

My friend Arto invited us out to have a "tasty special salmone pizza dinner", the #28. Yes that is salmon and shrimps on pizza, I tried some, not bad, but I ordered the #90. It's not every day that you get smoked moose venison and wild boar on a pizza.

Views from Hotel

I am staying at the Marriott Harbor Hotel in Dubai. It is located in uptown by the marina. I am on the 23rd floor and have a great view of the harbor and the marina. There are giant yachts parked in each. I am also beside the Palm Jumeirah island. This is one of two artificial islands built to look like giant palm trees extending out into the Persian Gulf. Of course my view is not as good as the view from a plane but it is still very impressive and seems to be a nice place to live. There is a giant hotel at the very end, maybe I can go there today.
