This is as close as I will get to El Christo Redentor on this trip to Rio. I am in the airport, that is not real. Today Ron called the statue El Christo several times in front of 40 people, I hope that he did not offend all of the audience.
We did not have the time to go to the top of the mountain but got to see the statue from all over the city.
Here is a better photo. You have to take a pretty long cable car to get to the top of the mountain to get close to the statue
