Hello from Brussels, Belgium. We got here last night after flying in from Poland on LOT Airlines. LOT is the big Polish airline. After hearing Polish jokes for many years I was worried about LOT but it is a very modern and professional airline. I flew in on a brand new airplane.
The prices here are a shock, esp. coming from Poland where everything was very low cost. I traded in 400 zloty for about 80 Euros. We got in so late last night that there was no where to eat at but a McDonalds. 8 euros (about $12) was the cost of a Big Mac. And it might have been a horse burger.
Left hotel at 7:30 this morning (it's Tuesday) to meet with MOD. We took a few hours to look around after work today. Very nice, we are staying in old center of Brussels with old cathedrals and many restaraunts, shops, bars.
